WEST PARIS – Emily May Dubois, 83, formerly of Kennebec Street in Rumford, passed away on Wednesday, May 28, at Ledgeview Living Center, where she resided for the past several years.

She was born in Hamilton, Ohio, on Sept. 11, 1924, a daughter of Edward and Rose (Crawford) Cartwright.

She attended local schools and has lived locally all of her life. She was a communicant of St. Athanasius-St. John Catholic Church.

She enjoyed doing crafts, quilting and sewing, cooking for family and friends, and always had an open door for her grandchildren.

She is survived by a son, David E. Dubois, and companion, Carol Banks, of Dixfield; a brother, Robert Cartwright of Rumford; three grandchildren, Denise Carrier, Kelly Calla and Kim Johnson; and several great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her parents; her husband. Raymond Dubois; a daughter, Linda DeRoche; a granddaughter, Janie Johnson; and a sister. Geraldine Adams.
