Mt. Blue HS joins exchange partnership

FARMINGTON – Mt. Blue High School Principal Joseph Moore recently announced that Mt. Blue High School has been selected as an International Student Exchange Partnership school. Mt. Blue is one of three schools in New England to receive the honor.

International Student Exchange is a nonprofit high school foreign exchange program promoting international understanding, friendship, mutual respect and learning. By reaching across international and interpersonal borders, the program enhances mutual understanding and respect among people and nations of the world.

The program at Mt. Blue currently has 11 exchange students from Serbia, Turkey, Spain, Venezuela, Norway, Germany, Mexico, Vietnam and Finland. At least 10 are expected for the next school year.

Facilitators are Lisa Dalrymple and Karen Williams Jordan. If interested in becoming a host family for an exchange student next year, they can be reached at Mt. Blue High School at 778-3561.
