LEWISTON – Muriel W. Ayotte, 93, of Strong died Wednesday, May 28, at Russell Park Extended Care Facility, where she had been a patient for the past month, after a long illness.
She was born Oct. 24, 1914, in Rockland, a daughter of Frank E. And Gladys H. (Hitchcock) Sibley. She was educated in the schools of Framingham, Mass., Manard, Mass., and graduated from Farmington High School, Class of 1932.
In 1936, she graduated from Peter-Bent Brigham School of Nursing in Boston, where she received her registered nurse degree.
She began work in 1937, at Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington, retiring in 1957. She married Albert Ayotte Sr. in Ashland, Nov. 10, 1937. He died May 13, 2000.
She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star of Strong, the Strong United Methodist Church and Lady’s Guild. She had made her home in Strong since 1937.
She was predeceased by her daughter, Jean Theriault.
