GORHAM, N.H. (AP) – A travel moratorium has been placed on trips outside of the Berlin/ Gorham area for all non-emergency town employees because of rising fuel costs.
Town Manager Bill Jackson told the board of selectmen this week that the moratorium has been placed because of the recent increase in fuel costs. He said the moratorium includes all travel using town or personal vehicles where the town would normally pay mileage.
It doesn’t affect the police department, fire department or the Gorham Emergency Medical Services.
