The town of Paris is preparing for an election on June 10 that will fill two positions on the board of selectmen. There are five candidates, one of whom is an incumbent.

Two candidates just put out some of their signs. They were bought and paid for. The very next day, eight of those signs were missing. Two of the signs were removed in broad daylight during Memorial Day.

Were these random acts of vandalism? Or are there really people in this town who believe taking signs away will make the voters stop thinking about what the issues are?
