Paul Madore ran as a Republican against Georgette Berube and John Jenkins. Then he said a Republican could never win the Senate race in Lewiston. He changed his party affiliation to Democrat and ran against Peggy Rotundo in two primary elections.
In the last presidential election, he supported George W. Bush; he worked for Chandler Woodcock in the governor’s race. Now he supports Dean Scontras, who is running for the Republican nomination in the 1st Congressional District.
He did not attend the Democratic caucus in February. He doesn’t participate with the Lewiston Democratic Committee. He isn’t a delegate to the Democratic convention. He apprently avoids or shuns Democratic Party events and functions.
He runs on moral issues, but isn’t he deceiving people by claiming to be a Democrat?
Richard Grandmaison, Lewiston
