NORWAY – Phyllis C. (LeBlanc) Chasse, 76, of Norway, formerly of Lynn, Mass., died Thursday, May 29, in Stephens Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness.

She was born in Lynn, Mass., the daughter of the late Edmond and Alma (LeBlanc) LeBlanc. She attended St. Jean’s High School. She was later a graduate of Marian Court Junior College and worked at both the Lynn and Union hospitals for 24 years. She retired from Union Hospital as an administrative secretary and moved to Maine.

She leaves her children, Linda Johnston and her husband, Jim, of Bryant Pond, Victoria Oberlin and her husband, Ross, of Nottingham, N.H., Julie Suchcicki and her husband, Krzysztof, of Danvers, Mass., and Thomas Chasse and his wife, Donna, of Sandpoint, Idaho; a brother, Edmond LeBlanc of Lynn; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was the mother of the late Dennis Chasse and sister of the late Edna LeBlanc, Alexina Thompson, Violet Bell, Doris Carson and Normand LeBlanc.
