Dear Sun Spots: Are there any Tupperware dealers in the L/A area? The other question is where can I get scented geraniums? Thank you. – No Name, No Town.

Answer: In addition to responses from readers, Sun Spots found the names of local Tupperware consultants in the area from the Tupperware Web site, www.tupperware.com. However, phone numbers for the consultants were not posted. We received a response from Shannon Wheeler, who may be contacted at (207) 689-8961. She asks that you please leave a message or send an e-mail to shanagains@my.tupperware.com. We encourage any Tupperware consultants to contact the Sun Spots column.

Sun Journal gardening columnist Jody Goodwin tells us that scented geraniums are a yearly plant you can find only when various greenhouses choose to grow them. She has seen them at Farmer Whitings in Auburn, Longfellow’s Greenhouse in Manchester and Jack’s Greenhouse in Buckfield. They are also usually available at the other big greenhouses like O’Donals in Gorham and Estabrook in Yarmouth. They are usually not available at big retail stores.

Scented geraniums are grown for their foliage. They come in an extraordinary variety of scents including apple, apricot, coconut, lemon, lime, peppermint and rose. They are useful for potpourri, garnishes and flavoring cakes, jellies and sauces.

The following is an iced tea recipe from “The Complete Geranium” by Susan Condor, which will be perfect for upcoming summer nights! Ingredients: 4 tea bags or 2 tablespoons loose tea; 6 medium-sized lemon-scented geranium leaves, washed; 12 cloves; thinly sliced lemon, to decorate; crushed ice, to decorate; sugar (optional). Method: Place the tea, geranium leaves and cloves in a warmed teapot. Fill with 2 ½ cups boiling water, leave to infuse for 5 minutes, then strain, cool and chill. Fill tumblers with crushed ice, then pour over the tea, and decorate each glass with a lemon slice. Sweeten, if desired.

Dear Sun Spots: Did anyone tape the finale episode of “Survivor” that aired Sunday night of May 11, that I could borrow? I’ve seen them all, but I missed that one. Also, where did the Oxford Discount Store move to that used to be across from the Speedway on Route 26 in Oxford. And, is “The Amazing Race” TV show coming back? Thanks. Call 998-5418. – No Name, Poland.

Answer: We’ve been unable to find any information on the Oxford Discount Store, hopefully our readers will be able to help. According to tvweek.com, CBS will have two editions of “The Amazing Race” next season. CBS isn’t commenting on its scheduling plans, but based on the network’s past actions, it probably will air one edition of the show in the fall and another next spring. So, stay tuned for the new season in the fall! The 12th season ended Jan. 20 in Anchorage, Alaska. Winners were the dating couple TK & Rachel. “The Amazing Race” airs Sundays at 8 p.m. on CBS.
