NEW YORK (AP) – A 26-year-old woman has been found dead with her throat cut in the bathroom of her Chelsea apartment.

Police said Margaux Powers was found Saturday night.

Hours later, 34-year-old Jonathan Smith, who lived at the same Chelsea address, was found dead in front of 55 Exchange Place. Police weren’t officially connecting the two, but the Daily News reported that authorities believe Smith killed Powers in the couple’s apartment on West 22nd Street and then jumped to his death.
