Lodge barbecue

CANTON – Whitney Lodge 167, AF and AM, will meet at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, June 5. The meeting will be preceded by a barbecue pork spare rib supper at 6:30. The program will be semi-public after a short business meeting. Jerry Ellis will entertain members and guests.

Church supper

RUMFORD – The Rumford United Methodist Church will hold a public supper from 5 to 6 p.m. Saturday, June 7. The menu will include homebaked beans, casseroles, meat balls, salad and homemade pies. The cost is $6 for adults and $2 for children. For more information, call Jean Hersey at 364-8660.

DIXFIELD – Swasey-Torrey Post and Unit, American Legion and Auxiliary, will hold installation of officers on Sunday, June 8. A lunch will be served at 5 p.m. followed by the installation at 6. Members of both groups are invited.

Circle to meet

RUMFORD – St. Timothy Circle 504, Daughters of Isabella, will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 10, at St. Athanasius St. John’s Church Hall.

Committee members are Chairwoman Bernadette Coulombe, Margaret Deane, Frances Miller and Anita Richardson.
