LEWISTON – Henry Paladino Sr., 78, of Lewiston, died peacefully at Central Maine Medical Center on Saturday, May 31, with his loving wife and family by his side.
He was born in Lewiston, on May 24, 1930, the son of Thomas and Kathryn Paladino. He graduated from Lewiston High School and attended Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
In April 1980, he married Theresa Ouellette of Auburn.
He entered the service in July 1948, serving his country as a U.S. Marine. He ranked master sergeant during the Korean War, where he was combat wounded, and received various badges and the Purple Heart. He was honorably discharged in 1952. He then served overseas with the Department of Defense, including Vietnam.
He enjoyed sitting on his front porch and spending time with family.
He is survived by his loving wife, Theresa; two sons, Henry Jr. and his wife, Paula, of Lewiston and Anthony of Hartford, Conn.; four stepdaughters, Angela McFerren of Lewiston, Anita and husband, Mike Egan, of West Brookfield, Mass., Andrea and husband, Jim Rodrigue, of Lewiston and Anna and husband, Steve Rodrigue, of Leeds; 13 grandchildren; and five and ¾ great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a daughter, Linda; grandson, Matthew Rodrigue; a former wife, Tillie; and several brothers and sisters.
