When is enough, enough?

There are people in Lewiston who I call “political hoggers.”

Take the mayor, for instance. Although he seems to be a nice man, first he’s the police chief, then a U.S. marshal, then the mayor. And, if that’s not enough, he wants to be a legislator.

C’mon, when is enough, enough?

And how about Lewiston’s legislators Margaret Craven and Elaine Makas? They’re both trying to get the same Senate seat. They have been in the Legislature a few years, but want more.

Hoggers.

Wait a minute. Isn’t the current senator, Peggy Rotundo, trying to get another state job as a legislator?

Another hogger.

When is enough, enough?

With all due respect, I think it is way past time that Lewiston citizens clean the slate of those “political hoggers,” and give ordinary citizens a chance at their political seats.

I, for one, would more likely vote for someone who has to pay for their own insurance, doesn’t get free benefits – someone who can better represent the hard-working people.
