BUCKFIELD – Forest Hills recorded a 9-6 win in the first contest of a doubleheader, while the Bucks took the nightcap, 5-1.
In the first match, winning pitcher Jeff Mulhall racked up 10 strikeouts to help Forest Hills post the 9-6 win. Dylan McNally had three hits, while Spencer Conrad, Kevin Brackett, and Dan Forge all had a pair of hits. Zack Cowett had three hits and two RBIs.
Buckfield took the second game with help from Cy Wilkinson, who tossed a two-hitter and struck out five. Tony Fortier and Wilkinson each doubled. Mulhall brought in the lone run for Forest Hills in the seventh.
Oxford Hills 9, Nokomis 1
PARIS – Oxford Hills strung together six hits in the third inning during a four-run uiprising to lift the Vikings to a 9-1 triumph over Nokomis.
Justin Frechette had two hits, including a double for the Vikings (8-8). Ryan Yates, Nigel Cromwell and Dillon Trundy also had two hits. Yates earned the victory.
Poland 4, NYA 0
STANDISH – Zach Short knocked in a run on a double in the second inning and another run on a sacrifice fly in the fourth to lead Poland to a 4-0 win over North Yarmouth.
Nick Douglass and Dartanyan Bourget each hit triples for the Knights (8-8).
Oak Hill 7, Erskine 2
SOUTH CHINA – Brandon Plourde doubled and singled, finishing the game with four RBIs to pace Oak Hill to a 7-2 triumph over Erskine.
Chris Ellis struck out 13 batters to earn the win for the Raiders. Tom Edgecomb hit a double and a single, while Ben Rines smacked a pair of singles.
Camilo Pardo recorded nine strikeouts, but suffered the loss for Erskine.
Monmouth 7, Telstar 1
MONMOUTH – Mack Tozier blasted a two-run triple in the fifth, and went 2-3 with four RBIs, leading Monmouth to a 7-1 victory over Telstar.
Garrison Beck contributed with two singles. Josh Boisvert earned the win for the Mustangs (9-5), striking out nine batters.
For the Rebels (5-9), Kyle Maines brought in the lone run on a double in the sixth inning.
Liv. Falls 24, Madison 1
LIVERMORE FALLS – Zach Keene hit a double and a triple to finish with four RBIs, helping Livermore Falls to a 24-1 drubbing of Madison.
Three senior pitchers, Jake Marceau, Kevin Gats, and Keene shut down the Bulldogs, with Marceau earning the win. Chandler White tripled and had three RBIs for the Andies (13-3), while Gats, Marceau, and Willy Brown each hit doubles.
Mt. Abram 10, Carrabec 0
NORTH ANSON – Josh Smith fired a one-hitter and struck out seven with no walks to lead Mt. Abram to a 10-0 triumph over Carrabec.
Smith ending the day with three hits and three RBIs for the Roadrunners. Greg Dexter and Dylan Tisor each smacked a two-run double in the win.
