MARTINSBURG, W.Va. – Theresa I. Langlais, 82, formerly of Rumford and Naples, Fla., died Monday, June 2, at her residence.
She was born in Rumford, on Dec. 1, 1925, to parents, Omer and Cecelia (Perry) McKenna. She graduated from Stephens High School in Rumford, Class of 1943.
She worked when she was young at Oxford Paper Co., the Rumford Bank and Trust Co., Thriftway and Central Maine Power Co., and retired in 1987.
She was a communicant of St. Athanasius-St. John Church and was a past regent of St. Timothy Circle 504, Daughters of Isabella.
She was married to Ralph Gallant in 1945, and after his death, was married in 1992 to Cyrice Langlais, who is also deceased.
She is survived by a son, Douglas Gallant and wife, Lynn, of Jacksonville, N.C.; daughters, Jennifer Cohen and husband, Dr. Jerrold Cohen, of Rumford, Julie Boyer of Martinsburg, W.Va., Joyce Richard of Cape Elizabeth and Joan Gallant of Westbrook; grandchildren, Julie Cohen and husband, David Smith, of Reading, England, Dr. Matthew Cohen and wife, Reetu Dandora, of Philadelphia, Pa., Angela Bourassa and husband, Aaron Edwards, of Denton, Md., Marc Richard of Windham, Martin Gallant of Portland, Ore., and Amy Ramirez and husband, Michael, of Moncks Corner, S.C.; great-grandchildren, Ashley Orye of Pasadena, Md., Bailey, Holden and Quinn Edwards of Denton, Md., Jaiden and Rishi Cohen of Philadelphia, Pa., and Nathaniel Smith of Reading, England; and her brother, Richard McKenna and wife, Teresa, of Jay.
She was predeceased by her parents; her sisters, Doris Noble and Genevieve Imerito; brother, Peter “Bud” McKenna; and husbands, Ralph Gallant and Cyrice Langlais.
