MEXICO – A Mass of Christian Burial for Dwight H. Gurney Jr. was celebrated Wednesday at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church. The Rev. Angelo LeVasseur was the celebrant. George Gionet was the altar server. Wayne Petrie was the organist. Music selections were “Be Not Afraid,” “Fly Like A Bird” and “Let There Be Peace On Earth.” Readings were done by Deborah Gurney and John Bernard. The eulogy was given by his son Daryl Gurney. Pallbearers were Jeff Gurney, Glen Gurney, Bob Gurney, Danny Alec, Paul Holmquist and Dave Fergola. Interment was in St. John Cemetery. A reception followed in the parish hall.
