LEWISTON – Jane F. Cote, 82, of New Gloucester, died Wednesday, June 4, at d’Youville Pavilion.
She was born in Lewiston on May 5, 1926, to Charles H. and Regina (Arsenault) Roberts. She attended Lewiston schools and worked for 16 years at the Clark Shoe Co. She also worked at the Cowen Mill. She married Gerard C. Cote on May 23, 1953.
She enjoyed camping and fishing at Moosehead Lake and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She had lived for 38 years on Old Greene Road in Lewiston before moving to New Gloucester in 1993.
She is survived by her daughter, Anita Joy and her husband, Timothy, of New Gloucester; two grandchildren, Melanie and Stephen Joy; three stepchildren; nine stepgrandchildren; two sisters, Mary Hinkley of Auburn and Patricia Bissonette of Lewiston; one brother, Richard Roberts of Auburn; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Gerard; five brothers, Frederick, William, John, Samuel and Albert; and three sisters, Regina Strout, Arlene Hiscock and Ruth Roberts.
