Paul Madore is running in the Democratic primary for the state Senate.
He ran for that seat twice as a Republican, once against Georgette Berube.
For eight years, Lewiston has had a strong voice in the Senate with Peggy Rotundo. She has fought for Lewiston and fought for working Mainers.
We need a strong Democrat in the state Senate. Last year, Democrats in the Senate had a one-vote margin.
Before the election, Lewiston Democrats deserve to know whether Madore will vote for a Democrat for Senate president, or will he go back to Republican roots.
This election is too important for games.
