Larissa Dycio, 9, a student at Trinity Catholic School in Lewiston, participates in the blessing of the builders’ hands during a groundbreaking ceremony on Wednesday for St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center’s Emergency Department expansion. The new department will be named after Cecile J. Coulombe, whose family donated $1.3 million toward the project. The groundbreaking also celebrated the launch of a renovation to the Transitional Rehab Unit at St. Mary’s d’Youville Pavilion and the creation of an outpatient medical facility in Auburn. Builders being blessed are, from left, Craig Piper (his hands are in the foreground), Shawn Smith, Bob Kirouac and Scott LaFlamme.
