LEWISTON – The wedding of Janelle Turcotte and Eric Potvin was held at 4:30 p.m., Aug. 31, at Holy Family Church in Lewiston. The Rev. Michael Seavey celebrated the Mass and the Rev. James Roy, cousin of the bride, was co-celebrant.

Mrs. Potvin is the daughter of Sonya Turcotte and the late Robert J. Turcotte of Lewiston. Mr. Potvin is the son of Paul and Louise Potvin of Lewiston.

The bride, given in marriage by her uncle and godfather, Herve Gendreau, wore a strapless ivory gown with drop-waist bodice and full bustled pick-up skirt, embellished with ivory and blush colored pearls. She carried a bouquet of roses in shades of pink, lavender and ivory accented with verbena.

Angela Gosselin served as maid of honor for her friend. Joanna Gomes, sister of the bride, served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Valerie Potvin, sister of the bridegroom, and Becky McAlister-Grant and Wendy Grant, friends of the bride. Lea Gomes, niece of the bride, was flower girl.

Chris Ryan, friend, served as best man. Groomsmen were Nicholas Potvin, brother of the bridegroom, Mark Rioux, Nick Roy and Brian Martin, friends of the bridegroom.

A reception followed at Lost Valley Lodge in Auburn, after which the couple traveled to St. Lucia. They are residing in Lewiston.

The bride is employed with L.L. Bean at the Peck Contact Center in Lewiston. The bridegroom is an architectural designer with Harriman Architects and Engineers in Auburn.
