I am shocked and dismayed at the many national health organizations that seem to be taking partisan stances of political nature. Organizations such as the American Heart Association and American Cancer Society that have given support to or joined partisan liberal organizations that work to raise taxes and oppose taxpayers in general. Those two have been cited by the Maine Education Association as opposed to the people’s veto.

How do these organizations maintain their tax status while taking such political stands?

Why should Maine taxpayers continue to send donations to organizations that are working to tax them more or oppose tax relief?

Perhaps more Maine people should question their motives and intent before making future donations. There are many more honest and worthwhile organizations with the integrity to not use donations to increase taxes.

I, for one, will not take for granted that those organizations have my best interest in mind. It appears that it is all about greed and love of the money.

They should all be ashamed.

From this point on, my donations will be to groups that are working for taxpayers, not against them.
