LYNN, Mass. (AP) – Police are probing a series of shootings that left one man dead overnight.

The spate of violence occurred over a nine-hour period Saturday night and early Sunday morning.

Five people were shot and one stabbed in four separate incidents. One of victims, identified by police as Rafael Andino, age 43, of Lynn, died after being shot in the head outside Lynn City Hall just after midnight.

Earlier in the evening two people were shot and a third was stabbed less than a mile away on Broad Street. Police said the incident appeared gang related and those who were shot refused to cooperate or gave limited information.
