ALEXANDER (AP) – Police say an unlicensed teenager died when he crashed a car in the town of Alexander in Washington County.

Washington County Deputy Thomas Chambers says 16-year-old Jordan Brown of Baileyville was driving a 1997 Pontiac Grand Prix that rolled over, hit a tree and caught fire.

The car was owned by a Calais woman. Police aren’t saying whether she gave Brown permission to use the car before the crash early Saturday.
