AUBURN – Kenneth N. Records, 80, of Townsend Brook Road died Saturday June 7, at The Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice. He was Born in Augusta on April 3, 1928, a son to the late Erland N. and Alice L. (Toothaker) Records. He was educated in local schools and graduated from Edward Little High School Class of 1947.
He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII and the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. He married the love of his life, Constance Burrows, on June 26, 1953. He owned and operated Kenco Door Co. for many years, he was still installing garage doors last year. He was an elder at East Auburn Baptist Church. He was a very devoted member and enjoyed spending time with his fellow members. Those who knew Ken knew his love for antique automobiles, especially his Model A Ford he owned, he was very proud of the work he put into it.
He leaves his wife of almost 55 years, Connie of Auburn; two daughters, Carole Sue Thompson and her husband, Rev. Guy, of Pa., and Kirsten Provencher and her husband, Gerard, of Auburn; three stepsons, James H. Moody Jr. and his wife, Sharyn, of N.H., Michael Moody of Portland and Robert Moody of Leeds; his stepmother, Iva Records of Calif.; a half brother, Kurt Records of N.Y.; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews; and many friends who were very dear to him.
He was predeceased by a brother Arthur Records.
The family would like to send a very special thank you to the entire staff at The Hospice House for the wonderful care they gave to Ken and his family.
