PORTLAND (AP) – A 31-year-old Massachusetts man who pleaded guilty in February to trafficking in crack cocaine has been sentenced in U.S. District Court in Portland to 15 years and eight months in prison.

Under federal sentencing guidelines, Shaheen Curry of Lynn, Mass., was subjected to increased prison time after he was determined to be a “career offender.”

Prosecutors said Curry was arrested last August as he was supplying crack cocaine to an undercover informant.
