TURNER – SAD 52 River Valley Adult and Community Education is offering many classes during the spring/summer session.
A high school basketball camp will start Monday, June 16, and runs through Friday, July 18. The camp, for grades eight through 12, will be a combination of skills, drills and games. It will require a commitment of two to three days a week. Morning practices will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Mondays and Wednesdays. Game times will be 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays.
“French for Beginners I” will begin Monday, June 23. “The Ongoing Journey of Leadership: A Soulful Pursuit” will also commence June 23. The 10-hour workshop is about personal leadership with discussion forums about politics, poetry, athletics and more. “Spanish for Beginners I” will start Tuesday, June 24.
“Jewelry Making I,” beginning Wednesday, June 25, will teach the basics. Participants will learn what tools to use, types of gemstones, sizes of beads and stringing materials. By the end of class, participants will make a three-piece jewelry set that consists of a necklace, earrings and a bracelet.
“Introduction to Microsoft Excel” will start Monday, June 30. Learn the top-rated spread sheet system for Windows with step-by-step instructions to manage, format and chart data. Manage lists, sort data and merge lists.
