DIXFIELD – David “Mongo” F. Heintz Sr., 64, a resident of Carter Road, Dixfield, died suddenly Tuesday, June 10, at his home.

He was born June 9, 1944, in Egg Harbor, N.J., the son of George H. Sr. and Myrtle (Weil) Heintz. David was educated in the Elwood, N.J., school system.

He was the owner and operator of River Bend Fiberglass in Dixfield for 25 years.

Being a talented carpenter, he and his wife, Peggy, built their own pine home. He loved the outdoors, gardening, taking rides, cooking, partying with friends and family, and living the wild life. He was also a great fan of NASCAR, especially Dale Earnhardt No. 3.

He loved his wife and family dearly and always looked forward to spending time with them.

He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Margaret “Peggy” Heintz of Dixfield; a daughter, Wendy S. Heintz of Livermore; two sons, Stephen D. VanBlarcom and his companion, Lili Johns, of Warren, and David F. Heintz Jr. and his wife, Allison L., of Dixfield; a brother, George H. Heintz Jr. and his wife, Maureen, of Chesterville; 10 grandchildren, Kristi, Stevi-Lynn, Donny, David III, Joshua, Kyle, Logan, Courtney, Warren and April; nine great-grandchildren, Makayla, Mike Jr., Caleb, Nicholas, Johnathan, Tyler, Haley, Angelina and Keagen; and many great friends.

He was predeceased by his parents; and brothers, Bobby, Tim and Ed Heintz.
