I read about the theft of scrap metal in a story in the Sun Journal. The suspects had their pickup truck shot up.

Why did they have to steal?

In Wilton, by the stream, there is a lawnmower, a washing machine (the old type with legs), cookstoves and old bedsprings sitting there rusting away. I even discovered an antique iron bed frame, like ones I see in magazines on country living. There are also parts of an old automobile with a rumble seat, but that is so far gone now.

So, why go steal when iron could be had for free?
