I have read many letters to the editor concerning evolution vs. creation. The issue is faith-based on both sides.
The evidence available to either side is the same, but interpreted based on an individual’s world view. Both sides view the world and its complexity with different glasses. The debate has little to do with science and everything to do with faith.
Like it or not, either viewpoint is a belief based on faith. There isn’t any conclusive, hard evidence that can be found or recreated in a lab to prove either viewpoint.
It takes faith alone to believe that the natural world and everything in it is the result of a long series of random changes or mutations. It takes faith alone to believe that the natural world and everything in it is the result of intelligent design.
I am, and always will be, a creationist, but I can’t prove it using empirical science, and neither can an evolutionist.
