LIVERMORE – The Washburn-Norlands Living History Center has invited the community to a picnic to thank area firefighters who recently helped save the estate from destruction.
The picnic will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 21. There will be children’s games and other activities. The one-room schoolhouse and historic library will be open for visitors.
Firefighters and their families are invited for a free lunch served from the grill, with strawberry shortcake for dessert. Community members are invited to bring their own picnic blankets and lunches. Strawberry shortcake will be available for purchase by all.
