AUBURN – Wallace L. Barschdorf, 88, of 36 Addison Street, Lisbon Falls, passed away peacefully surrounded by family at the Hospice House in Auburn on Saturday, June 7 of natural causes.

He was born on March 18, 1920 the son of Walter F. & Lena A. Barschdorf and worked at Hahnel Brothers Company for 55 years. On May 29, 1943 he married Irene W. Morse in Lisbon Falls.

He was locally known as “Buster.” He loved to garden, fix & make things, fish for striper off Popham Beach, weld, work on machines, read and spend time with his family.

He will be tremendously missed by his three sons Neil W. Barschdorf and his companion Rose of Plymouth, Dana O. Barschdorf of Edgecomb, Walter E. Barschdorf and his wife Gayle of Pownal; his sister Lorraine Morse of Lisbon Falls; his seven grandchildren Leanne Nichols, Darrin Barschdorf, Heidi Lacascio, Jason Barschdorf, Jennifer Barschdorf, Jill Barschdorf and Jayme Barschdorf, along with two great grandchildren, Tyler Lacascio and Margaret Mae “Maisy” Nichols. Many other dear friends and family will cherish the memories and the time they shared during his life.

He was predeceased by his parents, a sister Iona Berube of Lisbon and his devoted wife of more than 64 years, Irene.
