As a World War II veteran, I compliment SSgt. Daniel R. Thibault Jr. for his thought-provoking guest column May 25.

From where I stand, there are two evils that top all the evils in the world. No. 1 in my mind is the murder of future generations in their mothers’ wombs. The liberals call it pro-choice.

The Democratic Party, the party of my forefathers, is leading the public astray. Therefore, as a Catholic, I can no longer vote for their presidential candidate, Sen. Obama.

The second evil that plagues the world is the Islamist terrorists, whose aim is to eliminate the country of Israel, their brothers and sisters whose father was also Abraham, from the face of the Earth. Seeing that the United States backs Israel, we, too, are on the extermination list.

May God have mercy on us.
