LIVERMORE – Voters approved all town meeting articles Thursday night, including adopting a new comprehensive plan and a new Shoreland Zoning Ordinance that meets the state’s new requirements.

The meeting, moderated by Livermore Falls resident Darryl Brown, was completed in just over two hours, select board Administrative Assistant Kurt Schaub said Friday.

Voters approved the $1.1 million budget for fiscal 2009, which is $13,027 less than the current budget. However, more money will need to be raised through taxation to cover those expenses due to a drop in carryover funds, the rising cost of fuel and other items.
