FARMINGTON – Claire (Ouellette) Therrien, 72, a resident of Franklin Road in Jay, died Tuesday, June 17, at Franklin Memorial Hospital surrounded by her children after a brief illness.

She was born on Dec. 22, 1935, in Lewiston, the daughter of Laurent and Juliette (Roy) Ouellette and was a graduate of Jay High School. On March 2, 1957, she married Norman M. Therrien of Livermore Falls at St. Rose of Lima Church in Jay. “Moon” passed away on June 8, 2007.

She had worked at Chisholm Pastry and also for Grimaldi’s Clothing Store in Chisholm. She was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church in Jay. She enjoyed spending time with her family at their camp on Long Pond in Livermore and was an avid Red Sox and Celtics fan. She also enjoyed playing cards and cribbage.

She is survived by two sons, Jody Therrien and his wife, Sue, of Jay and Dana Therrien and his wife, Amy, of Newtonville, Mass.; three daughters, Shelly Becerra and her companion, Chad Thompson, of Jay, Cynthia St. Peter of Jay and Susan Austin and her husband, Eric, of Augusta; six grandchildren, Mason Therrien, Dustin Becerra, Eric Giroux, Lacey Bauman, Andrew and Alex Bourret; four great-grandchildren, Wyatt Bauman, Hannah and Emily Giroux, and Hunter Becerra Bibeau; her favorite aunt and best friend, Lorraine Ouellette of Jay; brother-in-law, Frances Therrien and his wife, Lou, of Livermore Falls; sister-in-laws, Yvette Hatch of Livermore, Theo Gallant of Canton, Jeannette Roy and her husband, Raoul, of Jay and Claire Parker and her husband, Dick, of Livermore.
