This is the year for change. On June 21, the town of Otisfield will hold its annual meeting. Town residents will be choosing a new member for the board of selectmen.

We support Rick Micklon, an excellent candidate for membership on the board of selectmen.

He has served as chairman of the planning board since 2005. He has served the town intelligently, and brings his conservationist concerns to membership on the Board of Supervisors, Oxford County Soil and Water Conservation District and as a member of the Thompson Lake Environmental Association. We believe his seating on the Board of Selectmen will improve communication between residents and the board.

We urge Otisfield residents to join us in support of Rick Micklon, and allow him to bring his expertise for more thoughtful and accountable management to the board of selectmen.
