DIXFIELD – Maine Senate President Beth Edmonds of Freeport will be a speaker at the Oxford County Democrats’ unity rally and spaghetti supper to be held at 5 p.m. Sunday, June 22, at the American Legion Hall.

Edmonds recently presided over the 2008 Maine Democratic Conventions attended by more than 3,700. She is completing her fourth year as senate president. Her remarks will focus on the importance of electing Democrats at all levels of government.

Tickets to the supper and rally will be sold at the door with a suggested donation of $5 a person.

Additional Democratic offices at 235 Bridgton Road in Fryeburg, and on Mechanic Street in Bethel are set to open to serve the southern and western parts of the county. For information on the activities of the Oxford County Democrats, contact Newell at 875-2116 or [email protected].
