This is in response to Dave Chirayath’s letter printed June 17 about Sen. Susan Collins.

She has supported Mainers on most issues and has voted on all issues in the Senate.

Chirayath might not like her stands on the issues but, unlike Rep. Tom Allen (who has a record of not voting on most issues), she has not missed a vote.

Sen. Collins also has a record of sponsoring legislation, either by writing it or signing on as a co-sponsor quite a bit. Just look at the Homeland Security bill, which helped save my business by giving all fire departments infra-red cameras.

Instead of bashing Sen. Collins, I wish the Allen supporters can start telling the public what he has accomplished in his long career of taking public money to support his lifestyle.
