PARIS – An American Red Cross blood drive will be held from 1 to 6 p.m. Monday, June 23, at South Paris Baptist Church, 1 Park St.
Quilt show set
BRIDGTON – The Chickadee Quilters of Bridgton will have their annual quilt show on Saturday and Sunday, July 12 and 13, at the Stevens Brook Elementary School off Route 302. There will be more than 100 quilts on display.
Looking for floats
HARRISON – Harrison Old Home Days is looking for float entries for this year’s Grand Parade, “Celebrating the Olympics,” on Saturday, July 12.
The basics include decorating a trailer, bike, boat, tractor or any mode of transportation, then fill out an index card with a brief description of the float and the group involved.
Entries must be at Depot Street (Waterford Road end) to register between 8:30 and 10:30 a.m. on July 12. The parade will start at noon. Plaques will be awarded for the top floats.
Harrison Old Home Days will be held Wednesday through Saturday, July 9 to 12.

Equine demo day
ANDOVER – The Ellis River Riders Horse Club will host an equine demo day starting at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 5. Spectators are welcome and admission is free.
There will be demonstrations of breeds including Paso Fino, Dartmoor Pony and Appaloosa.
On Sunday, July 6, there will be an all-games horse show starting at 9 a.m. There is always food and seating and the day is free.
