LEWISTON – Donald W. Peaco of Auburn died Monday, June 16, after a brief illness at Central Maine Medical Center with his family by his side.
He was born in New Gloucester on Dec. 31, 1938, a son of Elizabeth and Wesley Peaco. He was known for his great sense of humor and made friends wherever he went. He worked in the woods in a family business for many years, and then worked for the state of Maine until his health declined. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
Survivors include daughters Faith Jordan of Lewiston and partner, Kevin Ritchie, Rhenda Nickerson of Lewiston and partner, Robert Nickerson, Debra Duguay and husband, John Duguay, of Gray; one son, Bruce Peaco of Lewiston; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; brother, Warner Peaco of Florida; and good friends, Jim Damen and Charlie “Mac.”
He was predeceased by his parents, son, Dale Peaco; three brothers Wilbur, Leslie and George; and two nieces, Cheryl and Donna.
