WINCHESTER, N.H. (AP) – Police are looking for a man who rammed a police cruiser while being chased through Massachusetts and New Hampshire after two store robberies and a gas theft.

New Hampshire Police were investigating a gasoline theft in Chesterfield and armed robberies in Winchester and Dummerston, Vt., when they got word the vehicle involved had been spotted Tuesday in Bernardston, Mass.

Police chased the small dump truck up and down Interstate 91 in Massachusetts, then into New Hampshire, where they say the driver rammed a state police cruiser in Winchester.

The driver bailed out after crashing into a ditch and eluded a search that involved SWAT teams, police dogs and police helicopters.

Police say the suspect later got away in an SUV stolen in Winchester. They warn he is armed and dangerous.
