This year’s increase in energy prices is going to cause people a great deal of pain. Some of that pain could have been avoided with a solid national energy policy.
I found some interesting information on the Web site of the National Commission on Energy Policy. The commission is a 3-year bipartisan effort to develop a sound energy policy. Commissioners are from the energy industries, academia and government.
The commission has recommended a fact-based energy policy that would help this country.
People need to get real information, not just simple, one-sided opinions offered in the newspaper.
There are no magic bullets, and this country really needs to get it right this time.
People should get informed and have a real discussion.
