LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Doreen Meltzer Conover died in Los Angeles on May 26.

She was born in Lewiston, on Oct. 12, 1929, the daughter of Mark and Dorothy Kurhan Meltzer. She was one of six children.

In 1948, she married Leonard Sandler. They were divorced in 1974. She moved to Key Biscayne, Fla., where she met and married John Conover.

She is survived by a daughter; two sons; six grandchildren; six grandchildren; two sisters; and one brother.
