JACKSONVILLE, N.C. – Eleanor C. Blair, 90, formerly of Norway died Wednesday, June 18, at Britthaven.

She was born in West Gardiner, on May 18, 1918, the daughter of Charles and Lillian Jamison Clark. She graduated from Gardiner High School in 1938. She was a former state prison guard, retiring in 1983, and lived for many years in New London, Conn.

She married John H. Blair on April 14, 1941. He passed away on Nov. 27, 2003. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the VFW.

She is survived by two daughters, Diane Doran and Theresa A. Wynne, both of Richlands, N.C.; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
