AUBURN – Edward Little High School athletes won a wide variety of honors during the spring season.
Both the boys’ and girls’ track and field teams captured the Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference championship. It was the fifth straight KVAC crown for the boys, who ran their streak of consecutive regular-season meet victories to 106.
Individual athletes earned the following KVAC awards:
Baseball – All-academic: Michael Muise, Kyle Sawyer, Matthew Tribou; First team: Kyle Bussiere, Adam Lutz; Second team: Eric Prue.
Softball – All-academic: Shayna Johnson, Alice Read; First team: Emily Grund; Second team: Alyssa Levesque; Honorable mention, Alice Read.
Boys’ lacrosse – All-academic: Samuel Armstrong, Victor Dumais, Aaron Gould, Matthew Nyholm; Honorable mention: Victor Dumais, Matthew Nyholm, Derek Racine.
Girls’ lacrosse – All-academic: Kristen Erickson, Tanya Gagne, Jimin Lee.
Boys’ tennis – All-academic: Robert Little.
Girls’ tennis – All-academic: Courtney Johnson, Thuy Tran.
Boys’ track – All-academic: Dustin Anderson, Chad Brousseau, Zachary Dumon, Benjamin Hartnett, Dustin Haupt, Mohammed Hersi, Christopher MaWhinney. All-conference: Joshua Clark, Jacob Dubois, Merton Foss, Tyler Gammon, Steven Giorgetti, Benjamin Hartnett, Dustin Haupt, Jeremy Theriault, Dylon Therrien, Keith Tremblay.
Girls’ track – All-academic: Maila Bourisk, Renee Dufresne-Dixon, Teresa Ranucci; All-conference: Christie Bernier, Allyson Butler, Emily Dodge, Abigail Downs, Hali Henry, Jocelyn Lahey, Danielle Paul, Teresa Ranucci, Muriel Schwinn.
Varsity coaches presented the following awards:

Two individual school records were set during the season. Ben Hartnett established a new mark in the high jump, while Christie Bernier improved her own 1,600-meter racewalk record.
Rebecca Hefty was named KVAC Coach of the Year in girls’ track.
