NORWAY – Francis M. Foster, 73, of Dixfield, died June 19, after several years of declining health, during which he resided at Ledgeview Living Center in West Paris.

He was born in Stoughton, Mass., April 6, 1935, the son of John and Rose (Iervilino) Foster. He was the husband of Barbara Alice (Pope) Foster for 34 years.

Frank lived most of his life in the Boston area, working for many years at Belmont Hill School, before moving to the Auburn area. Until his retirement, he was the custodian at Auburn City Hall. In retirement, he enjoyed driving for Community Concepts.

He is survived by three children, Susan Hilb of Sabattus, Cindy Bernard of Auburn and Michael Foster of Kissimmee, Fla.; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
