PORTLAND (AP) – Eight members of an Army Reserve unit are back in Maine after serving for one year in a combat support hospital in Iraq.
The soldiers got a big welcome when they arrived Thursday at Portland International Jetport.
Arriving to cheers and tears, Sgt. Monica Sobley wore a big smile as she stepped from an airport escalator into the arms of her family. Sobley, of South Portland, told WCSH it’s good to be home and out of Iraq.
