BOOTHBAY HARBOR (AP) – Boothbay Harbor is gearing up for its traditional parade of sails when the 46th annual Windjammer Days festival kicks off this week.

The two-day festival gets under way Tuesday morning with a pancake breakfast and culminates Wednesday night with a fireworks display.

The highlight is the windjammer parade, when about a dozen tall ships under sail make their way through the harbor between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. Wednesday.

The festival also features tours of Boothbay Harbor’s U.S. Coast Guard station, music and food, a street parade and an arts and crafts show.
