BRIDGTON – The Bridgton Art Guild has announced this year’s recipients of the annual Art Scholarship Award. Two local students are selected each year to receive $500 each based on submittals of samples of their artwork as well as academic achievement and recommendations.

Kyla Martin of Harrison plans to further her art education at Temple University in Philadelphia. She is a 2008 graduate of Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School. Martin submitted three photographs, indicating an eye for capturing the moment. She plans to study graphic design.

Aaron Tripp of Center Lovell plans to attend Florida Southern College in Lakeland, Fla. He recently graduated from Gould Academy in Bethel. Multitalented in many mediums, Tripp plans to also study graphic design.
