WILTON – Members of three chambers of commerce are expected to converge at the Wilson Lake Inn on Thursday for some socialization and a check of the inn’s services.
About 60 responses have been received from members of Franklin County Chamber, River Valley Chamber and the Jay, Livermore and Livermore Falls Chamber, inn co-owner Tom Whalen said Tuesday.
He and his wife, Susan Atwood, have owned the inn since 2004 and bought it when it was known as Whispering Pines motel.
The after-hours gathering started as a Franklin County chamber event, Whalen said, but broadened because the couple belong to all three chambers.
Though its a socialization time and a look at the inn’s offerings and upgrades, Lorna Nichols, executive director of the Franklin County Chamber of Commerce, said it is also an opportunity to open up networking for area businesses and learn about each other.
It also may lead to some collaboration of future projects, she said.
