CHARLESTON, S.C. – Carl C. Richmond, 70, of Summerville, S.C., formerly of Madrid, passed away peacefully surrounded by family at Trident Medical Center, June 19.

He was born in Avon, June 2, 1938, and retired from U.S. Navy in 1975.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Nedra; three daughters and one son, Juli Mason and husband, Michael, of Farmington, Rebecca Bunch and husband, Brian, of Madrid and Debra Gosselin and husband, Ron, of Summerville, S.C., and John Richmond and wife, Cathy, of Alamogordo, N.M.; brothers, Bud Richmond and Peter Richmond of Madrid; a sister, Lois Franklin of Turner; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He will be sadly missed by all.

He was predeceased by sisters, Beverly Raymond of Auburn and Rhoda McLaughlin of Turner.
