CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Evelyn M. Shepherd, 63, died June 17, at her home in Cambridge.

She was born July 13, 1944, in Quincy, Mass., daughter of Evald and Edith (Pentilla) Shepherd. She grew up in Quincy, Mass., and moved to Maine in the late 1960s to be with her grandparents.

She owned and operated florist shops in Massachusetts, and later in Sabattus, until her retirement in 2004.

She is survived by three sons, Joe Hannigan of New Hampshire, Skeet Shepherd of Portland and Shane Shepherd and his wife, Miranda, of Cambridge; two daughters, Donna and her husband, Jean LaFerriere, of New Hampshire, and Karrie Shepherd of Veazie; a brother, Ed Pantilla and his wife, Judy, of Massachusetts; eight grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
